3 installs limit? is it true?

ive read several reviews earlier about some people actually cant play the game anymore because they exceeded 3 installs on steam (DRM).
is that true?

ive installed this game once and then uninstalled it. which means i still have 2 chances to play this game? how about if im buying a new computer then install it there?

if this issue is real, does anyone have the solution to mitigate this?

this really sucks because i have storage issue that makes me have to install and uninstall my games quite often everytime i ran out of storage

I'm not sure about 3 install limits but yes some of players reached activation limit. They talked with EA contact and EA added the game their Origin library. Now game is out of sale I don't know what EA will do.

hmmm how about you? you got 700+ playtime hours how many downloads/reinstalls have you done? or did you just keep your games and never uninstalled?

does creating a new origin account will resets the install count? assuming you have to start from 0 again? i mean this is ridiculous. what if im going to play this game in the future? im talking about 5-10 years later. imagine keeping the game installed for that long

I didn't count it but fresh installs count is three times. I created a copy of Shift 2 folder and moved to another HDD. When I want to play I just dropping backup to steam library folder. Never got error yet.

About creating new account: No it doesn't help.

Hi. There is a limit for how many times you can install this game. But, if you contact EA, they will remove or increase the limit. All in about 15mins or so.

Total time spent trying to fix your problem. I had the problem, installing the game many times. At some point you will get restricted from installing it again.
!5mins is the total time spent on the EA weebsite to solve your problem.

Yes. They encreased my limit like 15 times untill they got bored of me. And they removed the limit.

Did they increase your Steam version installation limit? Because from what I heard people just get keys for the Origin version, which I'm not a big fan of.

There is no such thing as " Steam version installation limit "
There is a limit on how many times you install the game. " Steam version" makes no sense, but i understand what you are trying to say.

If you get the error, just go on ea web site, log in, and go to support
They will increase at first your limit
If you keep bugging them as i did (i was installing windows once every 2 days) and keep getting in tpuch with them, they will remove the limit on how many times you can install the game.
