I tried a bit of Sims 4 and heard the community around it is pretty divisive so instead of spending money on expansions and stuff should I just buy the sims 3 instead especially when it goes on sale?

I straight up cannot play this game. I installed it onto my new computer and tried to play recently. I press 'Play" in Steam and it opens the launcher. Within the launcher, I press "Play" and nothing happens. It won't actually launch the game. I have tried multiple fresh installs and tried bypassing the launcher. Hi so I realize this might sound a little dramatic but I've encounter two major glitches in my game 1. Edit: deleted families gone, found and deleted their saves from the documents folder, but now there isnt even an option to load or create a new game in the main menu. just a big blue checkmark that says there was a serious error loading (insert selected world at time of clicking button) and to restart the game. which of course isnt doing anything. sounds like something is corrupted, was thinking maybe a corrupted save, but the saves are all gone so...Update...experimenting, trying to do my own research, fi...
