I've got a bunch of these error logs and
.dll certainly has. It was crashing yesterday with a March modified d3d9.dll - which probably post-dates my last Sims session, today I applied some Windows patches, noticed d3d9.dll now had today's date

DLL as part of a reporting mechanism and can't find it. It's not the source of the error, just down the chain from it.

Nona Sms suggests a number of things can cause this, including having less than 4
One more post: The more I read about that error the more it seems like it isn't the problem. It's a bad reference for certain, but something else is causing the error, then the game looks for that

thought Steam(now mind you I did buy a package deal that also came w. Sims 3) So after it was done DLing, I get this error when I go to load the game.

Ok it did fixed 387 dll and extention and other kinds of errors and removed 4889 trackers my pc had now have to download and see , will let u peoples know .

Good call, actually, because after reinstalling the game and reusing the guide by Anime_Boom I got the same error of a missing unspecified .DLL file. Weird, but I somehow fixed it by running an

The d3d9.dll error if recurring usually indicates that either DirectX 9 needs to be reinstalled or there is a broken alias (shortcut) to it in the game files that needs to be resolved. I wouldn't
EA's Answers.HQ board as I believe there will be players helping out there who have more experience with it.

Just FYI, the DasmX86Dll not found error that follows is meaningless. Most if not all crash

up and very useful. She can usually be found on Answers HQ now, helping TS4 players.

FYI, the DASMXetc.dll error is not why your game would have crashed. That's the crash log generator reporting on
its own error, all crash logs say that or something close to it and the entry can be ignored.
