Is there a way to give your sims money in edit town?

So i wanted to move some sims into a building i made and furnished but the sims only start off with $20,000. i was wondering if there was a cheat or way to increase thier starting money so they could live there in edit town so that i can have my other sims talk to them?

it sad these days that people don't let there sims earn there money the hard way by working and doing weird stuff

put your sims anywhere else and just use th4 cheat motherlode all the times you need, then move it to the house you built, it'sthe only way, or just make them work ;)

I haven't used it but... I believe there is a cheat called

freerealestate

which could help. You use it in Edit Town and it means your Sims don't have to pay to move in. I think you need to do it before selecting the family.

Just do what pinkstar said. That's the easiest way because once you buy a crappy house you just do ctrl+shift+c motherlode as many times as you want & now you have as much money as you want

Nah, do what cruinne said, it's a much more elegant solution. Motherlode and kaching are clunky useless codes when you can have full control with familyfunds and freerealestate.

i know what would happen if i used this stuff so i have decided to follow cruinne said and use that cheat. the reason i wanted to do this is becuase i didnt like the people in my town so i kicked them out and made new ones but they didnt have enough money to buy expensive houses so i had them use cheats.

Anyways, you can type "Familyfunds Lastname Numberhere" without the "s and replace the 2nd and 3rd lines with their corresponding values
