The Sims™ 3

The Sims™ 3

Total cost of all DLC and store content
I ran the numbers. I went to the Sims 3 store and searched for "*" and got 3190 results. I took the average of the first 50 results and it came to 233.5 simpoints. A simpoint is worth 10 cents. So everything on the Sims 3 store costs approximately $74,486.50. As for DLC/the game itself, the total is $439.81. So grand total, you're looking at $74,926.31 to own everything the Sims 3 has to offer. Start saving those pennies!

Oh they will! It is going to be horrible and horribly expensive.

I just bought this game, oh joy.

The DLC's that offer content like furniture and more varied inventory to buy is something your sims can live without. There are maybe 2-4 additions to the base game that you'll enjoy seeing your sims have, like career choices and maybe pets.

The point was more to demonstrate the greedy nature of EA. Even with The Sims 3 and 4 addons though, you're still spending $150 on a 5 year old game.

Toddlers and Pool building have been removed from the Sims 4 main game.

Oh and they're talking about adding on a $100 monthly/yearly (I forget which) fee in order to get the expansion packs for it. So yeah, ♥♥♥♥ Sims 4, I'll stick with 3.

Thanks EA, you greedy ♥♥♥♥♥.

The store content is free now? At the time I made my calculations, they were still using simpoints and it was definitely not free.
