Is Monte Vista worth the money it costs?
I've been considering purchasing the Monte Vista world for a while now, but I want to know others' experiences. Is it worth the cost?

Honestly, no. I have found user created towns on the exchange are much better (and larger) than any of the ones EA sells in their store. They are all a waste of money IMO. Their towns are worth $5 tops.

Alright, thanks for the input. I'll try out some of the user-created worlds now.

It's a pretty cool town, but the buildings all look the same and it's kind of small. If you want a nice, big town check out the user created Union Cove. It's nice and big!

No, nothing on the store is worth the price they put on it. Always, always wait for a sale. That way you can at least get the objects, hairstyles, clothes, and new rabbit hole skins that comes with the world. For now, if you want a new world definitely look into user made worlds as suggested.

I can't believe people pay EA for Sims Store stuff. Stuff that should be in expansions, stuff that should be in the game anyways. What an absolute joke.

If you want Monte Vista, you could probably google for a download link very, very easily. Hell, I could give you a download link. But seriously, don't pay for that ♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥ EA.

Yeah, one of the reasons that I was unsure of buying it was simply because it's EA... and I hate EA.

When the game first came out, it was perfect. Untouchable. But it seems over time, (due to patches) stupid 'Buy now from EA!' logos are all over it. In The buy menu, in the customize menu, in the create a sim mode. They're everywhere.

Yeah, I didn't play it when it first came out... By the time I bought it it was already "corrupted" by the evilness of EA.

The Sims has always been an EA/Maxis title. What do you "when the game first came out"? EA has been involved since the first moment of the first game.

The game has been modified over time to include ingame adverts. 'When the game first came out' it did not. There was no adverts, no 'buy this item now', none of that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
