Stray Spawning
Hi all, I have another issue that I've been trying to figure out: I've only ever had 2 strays appear on my lot (both were at about the same time 1 cat and one dog, whom I'm BFFs with but can't adopt). I can't see any on the map either, not even by the parks. I get the unicorn most nights tho. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

I'm assuming you do have the Pets DLC. Check your options/settings menu and make sure the cats, dogs, and whatever are allowed to spawn. Sometimes when a person has marked them not to spawn, a few will still show up but you can't do much with them.
Thanks, I do have the Pets DLC. I did check that the cats, dogs, and whatever are allowed to spawn and it was on. I unchecked it then rechecked it an now there are no pets to be seen, unless I make my own, not even in a brand new game.

Have Steam verify the files. If that doesn't work, then try a reinstall of Pets. It's been a while since I've done anything like uninstalling and reinstalling on this game, so I can't remember exactly how to do this.

Generally, if you uninstall a DLC, the game won't open because some of the registries from the DLC are left behind, and you have to manually delete the registries or use a 3rd party program to do it. However, if you are going to just reinstall Pets, you don't need to worry about the registries. The only reason I mentioned the registries issue is in case you tried to open the game before reinstalling Pets.
Ok, thanks so much  Just checking, to uninstall a DLC I just uncheck it in the properties of the game?

Like I said, I'm not sure if that works. You should try that first, though. If it doesn't work, you can try to have windows uninstall it. then check the box again and see if Steam loads it up. I hope I'm not giving you bad advice, though. Maybe someone else can comment here and give you a better way to do it.
Ok  Thanks for your help HiFive. I greatly appreciate it.
