transferring saved games

i had sims 3 on my old laptop for steam and now i got a new computer and redownloaded sims 3 but i want my old saved games back from my old computer. any way i could bring those saved games to my new laptop?

Go to C:\Documents\Electronic Arts\Sims 3, here you will find a folder called "Saves" where you world is saved. The files should look like "Sunset Valley Chris.sims3" and "Sunset Valley Chris.sims3.backup", copy them (don't move the files, something could go wrong) to the same folder on your newer computer.

For Sims and customized outfits there are seperate folders called "SavedSims/Outfits". On your old laptop, start the game and save your desired sims into the library (via create-a-sim) so they will appear in the list of pre-made Sims (plus so they will exist in those folders I mentioned). Copy all files from SavedSims and SavedOutfits into the same location on your newer computer.

I can't guarantee that your save will remain intact during transfer or what I mentioned works in the first place, but at least you get to keep all your Sims and outfits from your old computer.
