Sims 2 on Steam and Sims 3 with free base game

Would be so nice if they would bring Sims 2 to Steam and would make the base game of Sims 3 free to download. :-)
I can no longer install my Sims 2 DVDs on my Windows 11 PC but if they would bring it to Steam with compatible system requirements, all players who can't play it anymore either and who love Sims 2 would be able to play it again. :-) Not sure if this would be really possible but in any case, it would be just so great. :-)

Lol, at first I thought this was an announcement that Sims 2 was now in the Steam store. I was getting a sudden rush of excitement when I realized that it's just another person hoping that would be the case.

Not that I know I would like it. I really don't know, but there have been enough people over the years saying they miss playing it that I would like to get the chance to try it.

i would love to have all 4 Sims games on Steam. i would also love for Sims 3 to get a discount rather than its DLCs getting it on occasion (even 50% is expensive especially if not owning the main game), but i guess some things we'll just never get.
