No "Game Updates" Button in Launcher

Wondering if this is the norm for all Steam users because... we're Steam users and not Origin Users.

Nope, I don't see a Game Updates button. Steam keeps the launcher and game up-to-date instead of it doing it itself.

Yeah, I'm a version behind. Would like to update but Steam thinks I haven't installed the game despite having played it numerous times in the last week.

theres no game updates in the sims launcher because steam updates the game. if you go to your library then right click on your game and go to proprties youll see an updates tab and see if its set on automatic updates, thats how mine is and its up to date. should be like 1.662 or 1.663 for the update version, which you can see in the sims 3 launcher

I had to "reinstall" my game and once I did, the updates sorted themselves out. I love Steam but I wish they keep the standard for the Sims game.
