Jesus you people are stupid. They don't charge monthly fees to use the product, but they need to make money on new content. Obviously there are some shady ep's that add a little fluff for $20 but for the most part, the eps are just extra things for those that are interested. I for one stay away from most eps cause they add silly ♥♥♥♥ like vampires and fairies and such but a lot of packs add quality things that are worth the extra money. The base game they came up with over 5 years ago has expanded, their idea of the games direction and what can be done has advanced and there is absolutely no reason to ♥♥♥♥♥ about a company releasing DLC that you do not have to buy. Would you rather everytime they came up with a new idea they make a new sims series? If you divide the DLC total cost by the number of months the game has been out it is less than $5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars a month. GET THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT OF HERE WITH YOUR BROKE ASS NONSENSE. /endrant

The math makes sense. The DLC model that EA is using challenges those that want a "complete" experience in terms of all the official content. However a "complete" experience by those terms is antiquated with the wealth of community-content and clearly faulty as Katy Perry shouldn’t be needed in order to complete the Sims 3 (or any game's) experience… my opinion here.
