University Life?
So I downloaded "Sims 3 plus University Life" onto my laptop as a special price. I want to play the Sims 3 base game WITHOUT the university life, but I can't seem to be able to do it? Can anyone help??????

You would probably have to do something like this. Caveat: I have never bought a combo-pack, so I'm not 100% sure it will work, but if you look in your Steam library under The Sims 3's properties, and it lists "University Life" as DLC, it probably will. You will lose any saved games you have.

  1. In Steam, open your Library and right-click The Sims 3.
  2. Choose Properties, then select the DLC tab.
  3. Under there untick the box next to University Life.
  4. COMPLETELY uninstall The Sims 3.
    1. This means uninstall the game.
    2. Then go into your computer's Documents directory and delete the The Sims 3 folder inside the Electronic Arts directory there.
    3. AND remove the entries for The Sims 3 from your computer's Registry (using a tool like CC Cleaner can help with that last part).
  5. Restart your computer.
  6. Open Steam and re-install The Sims 3 after double-checking on the Properties tab that the DLC is still unticked.
