Does anyone know how to trigger the orange button on the sims 3 store

I saw something a while back and apparently you can get free sims points by pressing an orange button but it hasn't popped up for me

You only get that orange button and free sim points if you registered expansion packs that you bought and forgot to redeem them.

Does your Sims 3 store sim point have a balance? Because maybe the points are already there. If you have several thousand sim points, then odds are, you had redeemed them already and there are no more points to be had.

If you have a 0 balance and have definitely registered your EPs, I would contact customer support, as explained here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/No-Redeem-Free-Simpoints-Button/m-p/2681994

Yeah it just says 0

I got in touch with EA help and they said that the button is expired and there's no way to get free sims points

Just remembered something! There are tons and tons of free items at the store. I know it's not the same as having free sim points, but I think it's a decent trade off. Here is a list of them:
