How do I rebind the keys?
This is annoying. Moving/rotating the view with the mouse is INCREDIBLY clunky in this game and I'm using the standard WASD controls instead. However, I'm so used to using Q and E for rotation that I keep pressing Q to rotate the view, resulting in a quit game pop-up. How do I rebind the Q and E keys to rotate the view instead?

Also, how do I get rid of the REALLY annoying pop-ups at the top-right of the screen that appear every few seconds whenever I do anything?!? They are INSANELY annoying.

As far as I know there is no way to rebind the keys in-game. I havn't come across a mod that does it either. :csdmeh:

To stop the popups, click on the '...' button at the bottom left of the screen and select Options then select the General Settings tab in the box that comes up. Uncheck Enable Shop Mode and Enable Lessons and under Memories switch from Enable Memories to Disable Notifications in the dropdown list.

Disabling shop mode will make it so that you cannot download any free or bought content that you get from the sims 3 store while you are in-game. So if you need to do that at some point you will have to check that box again.

As for the rebinding of keys, you can use a third-party remapper if you want. I find AutoHotKey[www.autohotkey.com] the best, it is also free & open-source. There are also alternatives, but they aren't free, just Google "key remapper".

Kind of a shame that a PC game doesn't offer rebindable keys though...
