Can this computer rum Sims 3?
My sister wants me to buy her the Sims 3 for her birthday but I will need to know if she will be able to play it. She has a laptop and these are the specs: Intel Core i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz, 4GB RAM, 64 bit operating system. When I go into the advanced settings on screen resolution where it would normally say the graphics card under 'adaptor' it says: Intel HD Graphics Family. Would these specs be ale to run the game? Thanks for the help.

Probably not?

Minimum game requirements (without expansion or stuff packs) are:

  • CPU: 2.4 GHz *
  • RAM: 1.5 GB minimum, though at least 4 recommended.
  • Video: 128 MB dedicated card with pixel shader 2.0 or Intel GMA 3-series or higher *

* Note that if you have integrated video (Intel graphics) rather than a dedicated card, the CPU requirements increase to 2.6 GHz and you need an additional 0.5 GB of RAM.

Her computer might run the base game, alone, but would not do so well and it would probably be frustrating. Adding EPs or SPs generally increases the minimum requirements.

I think it will! I have a laptop and it works just fine! I have three expansions on it and it still moves smoothy.

Erm... Mind telling us the specs of said laptop? That information is useless without us knowing them.

It's okay now. I downloaded it onto the laptop and it seems to work fine. I made a world to see if it worked and it seemed to be running well, I'm not sure what it will be like when there is a lot of stuff though. Thanks everyone for the help, it was greatly appreciated. I tried to send a message of thanks a while ago but the steam community wouldn't work so I couldn't.

Yes, but at maybe 20 FPS. I have specs extremely similar to yours, except my processor isn't as powerful and it plays fine. This isn't really a game where FPS matters anyway.
