Got married, and got a bunch of roommates
My sim went to China, and while there he met a nice Egyptian lady at the adventurers basecamp, and later and after I got home, she came for a visit and we got married. The problem is that I apparently have four or five roommates now as well. My first thought was that maybe all the other people that were staying at the basecamp counted as her roommates, but that's not the case. None of them are Egpytian, French or Chinese, they're just random people. I use the 'dismiss roommate' option whenever one of them shows up, but they always come back.

It's getting really annoying because sometimes I'll step away from my computer for a minute while my sims are sleeping, and when I come back there's just some fat guy in the house breaking my toilet and heckling my newborn. Is there some way to get rid of these idiots(other than killing them)?

I agree about your last statement. Of you can move to another house without them, or kick them out. Quickest way to fix rmthe inside problem is to lock all the doors

You need to go into the real estate options on your Sim's phone or computer and turn off roommates-wanted.

It should be in the phone under Real Estate > Roommate Services > Disable.

It seem's to be a bug in the game, it happens frequantly...! Unabled the roommates using the way Cruinne said before. Using the phone. Doing it directly on the rommates don't work. They will just be replace by other's at 9h00 the next morning.

You always want to marry a sim when they are in their "homeworld." In other words, if the sim lives in France, it's best to marry them there and then travel home with them. The sim can possibly become corrupt down the road or you may not get the entire sim when they travel to your world (it's called a mini-sim in order to save memory for the game).

It is ill advise to, under any circumstances to delete a sim using cheats. You will get doubles of the deleted sim and odd activity within your save, sometimes making it unplayable. Re-installing the game or even superpatching it won't help. Often the only fix is saving the household to the bin and starting a new game.

Do you have an old save you can go back to before you married the sim from the bascamp? If you are doing a lot of traveling, I would recommend nraas traveler mod. It asks you to save before you travel (it's a good idea to make at least 3 rotating "save as" files for each game). You might be able to get things fixed up a bit with nraas overwatch and errortrap. Make sure you grab the steam version of errortrap.
when was locking doors a thing, i never noticed.

Door locking came with Ambitions. Specific sims being locked out of a room came with university life and pets came with locking your pets out of a specific room.
