So many phone calls requesting dates!
It bugs me, it honestly does. The two sims in my household are in a relationship with each other, and I WANT them to be an OTP. But it seems like half the phone calls either of them receive are from NPC sims asking them out on a date. Is there an in-game way I can cut down on the number of date offers my sims get?

Otherwise, you just need to keep refusing the dates and they might decrease. Eventually, faithful Sims can get the reputation for faithfulness.

I understand your frustration. I had a couple that were both musicians, and these calls would sometimes come when I was responding to a wish or an opportunity. I would be ready to click on agreeing to the wish, and would accidentally click to agree to the date. I learned to be slower to respond and to read everything first. Even if your Sim leaves the date out in the cold, and refuses to go, or has an argument with the would-be-suitor to get rid of them, your Sim could still wind up with the "cheater" reputation. Even just accidentally clicking on "compliment appearance" for one time can give you the "cheater" reputation that never goes away until you choose the Lifetime Award that cancels all such reputation problems (I can't remember what it's called at the moment).

I just remembered - I had a female Sim that gave a kiss to only one guy BEFORE she decided to talk to and date and marry her husband. I thought there shouldn't be any problem. Well, several days later, her husband accuses her of cheating on him! I saw him storming over to her, and there was no way I could cancel him from doing this. The game refused to let me. So, there relationship was bad ever after that. She was always faithful to him, and they had a lot of good times together, but he was always trying to find bad things to say to her, that I COULD NOT CANCEL! Bleh! If that ever happens again, on a couple that I intend to be faithful, I'm deleting the couple and starting over. It's as if the game believes our Sims should all be virgins before they get married.

This mod reduces the number of rejected calls it takes to deter sims from calling for date again, among doing other things:

I see I should have been more specific. I would prefer that the solution not involve a mod, if that's possible.

Then that would be it. Both my sims had careers as rock musicians, and they both reached the top of that career branch. Thanks for the information.

By the way, more attractive Sims get more gifts from their suitors (which you can sell), and you can choose to ignore all phone calls. If one of the phone calls has an opportunity, the game will pop it up anyway, even if your Sim didn't answer the phone.
