You can stop a sim from seeking romance with your sims by helping that other sim find an other romance ...so that they won't bother your sims anymore. There are a couple of dlc's that give extra social interaction options to manipulate other sims in getting a romance. University dlc for exmple has the 'dare' option. You can dare the other sim to kiss an other sim, if that goes well then the 2 sims will have romantic interest with each other.
Have your Sim go a computer and go to online dating and remove their profile.
But isn't that dependent on having the Seasons DLC?
The online profile is Seasons dependent.
The patch does not introduce it in the base game. But I am assuming OP has Seasons so this is why the tip was given. I have the latest game update and if I disable Seasons online dating is disabled.
This mechanic is on par in annoyance level with the paparazzi (from Late Night EP) but the frequency does diminish if you get the Faithfull and Eternily Faithfull reputation (the latter one reduces it so the odds of that happening become very low). I have both long term married Sims with that reputation and newly married Sims (with no reputation) and from what I can gather random Sims approach the newly weds with no reputation more often that the Faithfull/Eternily Faithfull ones. So without mods the easier way is to go steady and have a good reputation in regards to romance.
First, I make sure not to give my Sims the Attractive traits.
Second, I turn the phone ringer off, and I seldom have my Sims answer the phone. There are a few professions where you might want to answer the phone, but most of the time, it's not necessary. If an opportunity comes up, the game will automatically give you the popup for it anyway, even if your Sim didn't answer the phone.
Of course, my Sim might sometimes still answer the phone, but I usually keep them busy enough that they don't do that very often. I kind of enjoy hearing my faithful Sim tell someone off when they are declining an offer for a date.
You'll know they're attracted to your sim when you first meet them and you'll get a notification from them saying something like "I want to know more about you" or something like that. Mutual favorites, traits and Zodiac are a couple factors.
You can do what I did and use S3PE or NRAAS Retuner to modify the Relationship XML file to change all buffs and debuffs to 0 so that it's (almost) impossible for any to be attracted.
But once a sim is attracted to you, there's no way to get rid of it on a save afaik.
