Disappearing social interactions

It's super weird. They are at the best friends level, romantic interests, and have woohoo'd before, but I have very limited social interactions. Get to Know doesn't show up sometimes, Kiss or Woohoo doesn't show up sometimes, etc. It also happens with other sims and it's really annoying since I'm basically spamming the flirt interaction . Does anyone know how to fix this? I have never downloaded sims mods.

If they don't do some sort of romance every day, or almost every day, the options can go away briefly. You have to get them "warmed up" and "in the mood" first. So, offering flowers, flirting, etc. If one of them is a loner they can even reject advances for quite a while.

These days, I often get tired of keeping the romance alive and I have couples that almost never do romantic stuff. When I finally decide to let them have some romantic time together I have to get them all warmed up again before the romantic options show up. I'm surprised how much impact flowers can have. Sometimes I spam those for a while.

I don't use mods either.

certain romance options only show up if the conversation is "very alluring" or "extremely irresistible," which is built up by using lower-level options. Same deal for certain funny options. Regardless of relation level

iirc the "heat of the moment kiss" from university life can be used at any time and immediately 'upgrades' the conversation if it's successful

You can woohoo without "foreplay" by manually relaxing on a bed and calling the other Sim over to join, shower woohoo from generations just lets you click on the shower and select your partner without needing to get in the mood as well

"get to know" might be unavailable because you know all the other sim's traits. that interaction is supposed to help you discover traits faster but is bugged so that it either doesn't or provides an entirely negligible bonus

"get to know" works fine for me with no mods. It's just that sometimes they are just getting to know each other's favorite color, favorite food, and other things that won't show up as traits. You can usually tell what they are talking about. There are lifetime benefits and high-level Charisma skill benefits that will help you learn traits much faster.

Also, "get to know" often gets moved around to other subcategories and you have to search for it.
