Trying to download mods for Sims, not working.

So, I've followed basically every step, using the Mod The Sims framework folder and extracted it to get the Mod folder. I saw that I had the Overrides, Packages, and the .cfg folder.

Inside the Packages folder I have two mods, the no sparkles when building mod and the no intro mod. At this point I close my file explorer and boot up the sims launcher and then the game. The intro's still there, there are still sparkles when building walls... help?

I'm pretty sure I've cleared all of the necessary caches and I'm at a loss what to do.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated!

Is your Mods folder located in C:\Users\Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3?

Replace nointro.package with https://modthesims.info/d/497903/no-intro-with-maxis-logo.html They added the Maxis logo near the end of development, and is not taken care of by the old nointro.

No, it's on my D: drive -- D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Sims 3 (as my C: drive has very little space left and it was incredibly slow as my PC is ancient lol) I'll give this a try though thanks

The Steam folder contains your game files, but the mods folder belongs in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. Your game should automatically create this folder every time it launches.
