Charisma Skill Glitch??

My Sim is on a polticial career path and has been Leader of the Free World (the maximum position) for pretty much as long as I've been playing. Because of that I've had him read every charisma book, throw big parties, make lots of friends, etc. etc. to try and build up his Charisma skill up to the maximum, yet he seems to be eternally stuck at halfway there. I've played on and off for months now and he never seems to gain experience no matter what I do. Has anyone else had this glitch? It's hurting his career apparently.

the books glitch and get stuck like that every so often, they can read them forever and never gain any skill point. First time I had it happen I didn't realise what was going on. The method I found around it was to go do something else to raise his skill past the 'books' skill (first book 3 points, second book 6 points, third book 9 points total) then was able to read the next book to advance.

Chrisma can be raised by talking at the mirror, giving lectures at the podium, presentations from the whiteboard (podium and whiteboard require university), you can also raise your Chrisma just socializing with other sims though its pretty slow, and chatting online via a computer.

p.s. make sure you have the # of friends you need too for the skill to increase.

Yeah I've done all that stuff, he has just about all the rich people in town as his friend and throws parties and all that. Still nothing.

If you go to the skill tab and hover over the Charisma skill it will show you how many required friends you have, how many you need, how many relationships you have and how many you need.

If those are all met then it sounds like you got stuck in that skill glitch. I don't know if using Nraas Master Controller to bump the skill level up or down a knotch will fix it besides what I suggested above.

oh one other thing, not sure if it does it or not, haven't looked, but the brain enhancer machine lets you increase various skills a level each use, it might allow you to increase charisma as well, and that might get you past the glitch. (its part of the univeristy EP)
