Do you still play the Sims 3 to this day?

I play the Sims 3 because I am tired of what the Sims 4 turned into and ended up being, and this game is what got me into the franchise after seeing my mom who is not a gamer in any shape or form spend hours taking care of her sim.

I feel much more free and immersed inside the Sims 3 and I have not felt the need to use cheats even once to have fun, whereas I got really bored whenever I played the Sims 4 and had to create my own fun with cheats. I'm also not a fan of spending over $1000 on packs to have the full experience, where I can at least wait for sale to spend less than $100 to get it all on Sims 3.

The replayability factor is what keeps me playing Sims 3. There is never 2 play throughs that are the same.

Still coming back to play several times a year. I prefer large open maps to explore. I like being able to run or drive thru town and watch the scenery as I go. I prefer the graphic style of the scenery, rocks and plants, etc., on this game. It's closer to a real-life experience.

Yeah but only reason is I don't play cuz i don't have space. So yeah, I will get a 2 TB NVME, game with all packs is 30 I just need half so I will need 15-16 only , 1-2 at max for saves, so it's nothing serious, I have 1 TB NVME and 250 GB SSD (boot drive because I got the NVME 2,5 years ago only) and 1 TB WD Black gaming HDD.

2,25 total , 1,25 TB SSD and 1 TB HDD. When I get a 2 TB NVME I will reinstall an OS there, maybe Linux lite too, so 2

I love the translation style of the game , in Hungarian it's so flavourful and uses words which are not used in everyday Hungarian so great for learning words (so is the English version)

Plus careers and the freelancer works so there are different options , also opportunities/quests provide nice way to earn some stream of revenue too

Also the graphics are realistic , I love it

Im still playing and even continuing with the save game that I started since 2009, when the game first released and I bought the collectors edition.

IMO Sims 4 was a train wreck. Im hoping and waiting for Sims 5.

I play most days and have been a regular player since the first Sims (I won a pre-release copy of the game in a competition). I miss a lot of quirks from S2, but imo S3 open world makes the game. I've tried Sims4 and hated it - the cartoon look of the sims, the limited space around your lot, etc.

I still hope for patches for the gamebreaking bugs in sims 3... EA wouldnt scam their costumers with an unfinished product before releasing the next sims (4), wouldnt they? 😂
I would love to play it again but every time i encounter bugs that made the game unplayable... so no. I better watch the grass growing in my real life garden then play an EA game again

I've recently bought a cheap portable disc drive that I use to play The Sims and Breath of fire 4. I haven't got any cc for it though because the site I wanted to use has now got somewhat of a bad reputation. I have zero interest in Sims 4 whatsoever.

I still play The Sims 2, but yeah, I still play the living daylights out of The Sims 3.
Even if it's arguably the least stable of the bunch, and that on my last playthrough, I kinda accidentally thrashed my game. Personally, it ties with TS2 as my favorite.

Ive heard and read nothing but bad reviews for Sims 4, so I did not bother to install it.

I play because it's a game I grew up with that is still active now.

Used to enjoy the Supernatural pack for the zombies, but not that anymore.

I'm gonna remake my characters if anyone wants to reach out and friend me.

I'm about to now and i haven't in a while (last install was in 2022) i installed all the expansions last time i played dont know if i should do that this time around. Thinking of just installing a handful (seasons, pets, university, generations, and maybe some stuff packs)

Whens the next sims 3 coming out? (open world, fun) and why doesn't this game have a all in one single patch fix yet has it been abandoned by the community?
