Is the Luck trait OVER POWERED or WHAT!?

BRUH on my very first day my lucky sim went to explore the mausoleum and got a genie lamp first go. Since playing on this save I have got 3 genie lamps just from exploring the mausoleum? I am now almost a millionaire because I just use all my wishes to get $300,000

Genuinely up until this point I never got genie lamp's or used the luck trait cause it seemed pretty whatever. So far I'm finding mausoleum + luck trait can get me some pretty nice stuff.

sims 3 can be cheesed pretty easily by conventional definitions and some of the dlcs

pets can easily hunt for tiberium which sells for 50k a piece if you let it grow into a tiberium spire, some lifetime rewards are op, but they're lifetime rewards for a reason, but still
you can also commit insurance fraud by casting fire spells on your home lot and extinguishing them for free 300k...

the thing is with this game you have to avoid the cheeses to retain some sense of normalcy and progress

Yes lucky trait is strong you higher chance to get promotions, higher chances to have opportunities in work to increase the work progress. Higher chances to xmas bonus from work ( my sim 10 rank in Military carreer got 48k).

WoW! OKAY! I didn't realise there were these other ways of cheesing...I have been playing since it came out and all of this is pretty much news to me. I suppose Lucky + Ambitious might be good to have together? Probs not necessary though. I'm finding the ambitious trait to be pretty average at the moment.

I ALWAYS use luck. I don't know if it's actually true but it seems to have an affect on anything that has anything percentage based. My lucky sims always seem to win the lottery much more often than those who don't.

I found that too! Early on in my game I discovered doing a trivia contest at the Vault of Antiquities pretty much guarantee's 2k a day...There was like one day where I placed #8 in the competition, but 90% of the time I get 1st place!
