In all seriousness, the problem is that other sims accuse yours of cheating, not that the sim has multiple relationships per se. If you want to play it straight up, just make sure your sim has broken up with each SO before proceeding to the next one. Unfortunately, sims seem to think that merely being a Romantic Interest means that they have exclusive claim on the other sim, so don't let your sim get romantic with more than one sim at a time.
Another option is to purchase the No Jealousy Lifetime Reward for your sim. It costs 10k points and will prevent random accusations of cheating, although other sims will still react if they're in a relationship with yours (even RIs) and see your sim getting romantic with someone else.
Or you could be a massive cheater and use the ResetSim cheat whenever another sim has queued up the "Accuse of cheating" action for your sim. That's what I do sometimes. Or actually I used to until I found the interaction in NRaas Retuner and set it to not autonomous, as in, sims can't perform it autonomously.
I think this is the easiest approach for me since I'm one who pursues promised wishes. Besides, it's a permanent upgrade.
By the way, what is the meaning of SO, in your first large paragraph?
Upon further review, I've been playing with mods since before I saw the No Jealousy and related rewards in-game, so I can't be sure the LTR works exactly as intended in a vanilla game. I do know that there used to be a lot of complaints about how it worked, some that were obviously misunderstanding the (admittedly less than useful) description, and some that might have been due to in-game glitchiness. Still, I can't promise you that it works perfectly all the time.
If you're not getting the results you want, try the Above Reproach LTR instead. I know for a fact it doesn't prevent your sim's SO from reacting if they witness your sim making out with someone else, but it should allow your sim to run around behind the back of the SO without any problems.
Clean Slate fixes the reputation if it's already broken, but it doesn't help going forward.
Clean Slate seldom works for me. If any previous lovers/spouses show up in the area, everything seems to get triggered again.
If a former spouse dies, make sure to move the urn or gravestone to the graveyard before pursuing anyone new.
I tried the Heartbreaker wish when I was new to the game. I think maybe the character I chose already had the wish on her. Anyway, I was not successful and I ended up changing her wish.
