The Sims 3 - Solution to launch the game (Guide and Video) !!!
I have the solution, or at least to this type of problem it is not necessary to patch or any type of mods.

Step 1: Install the game, either via Steam or elsewhere.

Step 2: Open The Sims 3 (Desktop Icon After Installation)

Step 3: When the launcher is open we don't click play, instead we open the "task manager", right click on the sims 3 Launcher and click on "go to details".

Step 4: In the details, look for "TheSims3LauncherW.exe", right-click on it, and choose "set affinity". The numbers with the CPU will appear, the only one to be marked is the one that says "CPU 1", the others are to be left unmarked. then click "OK". (Note that this is the key step to make it work, but it's very, very simple.)

Step 6: Click Play on The sims 3 Launcher, everything is normal. when the game opens, the black screen with the EA symbol appears, we do not turn off the game, but go to the desktop and open the task manager again.

Step 7: in the task manager repeat the same steps, on the right side of the manager click on "processes", then right-click on "The Sims 3" and choose "Go to details".

Step 8: In the details search for "TS3W.exe" right-click and choose "set affinity". Mark all CPUs as enabled, the 5 CPUs must be marked. Then click "OK", close the Task manager and you are ready to play with the power of your computer.

Very simple steps, in 1 to 2 minutes the problem is solved.

Every time you play you have to do this, but it's very quick to do, it's not worth installing any kind of patch or mod, it's a simple solution.

Ps: The Guide works with mods or without mods, is the same solution. A big hug for you all

It works with mods and without mods, is the players choice.

The issue that causes this is new computer trying to play older game not optimized for newest tech. The real question is, has anyone found a way to fix this annoying workaround?

Until now, this is the only solution, this and some patches, EA doesn`t waste time to resolve any type of situacion with this game.

I incidently found this (–Reinstall DirectX 9: - Sims 3 still uses DX9, but isn't in Windows 10 or 11). on a thread while trying to analyze part of a crash log, I believe this could be the workaround, although I havent tested it yet. If anyone does, please let me know if it works- but it does explain why I was able to go through the launcher with a higher end laptop when I was still pre windows 10/11

This solution is good for me, at least so far, I don't see myself testing anything at the moment while it's working like this, but it's fun to see that people who manage to find other solutions, some easier, others a little more difficult , but what matters is getting the desired result, getting the game working, although this is boring, it is not our job to solve this type of situation.

nop, is just to play the game, don t have any issue, but everytime you play the game you have to do this, like the video
The quick and dirty way of playing without the launcher is to : Locate the EA folder on your C: drive, open it and scroll down to the Bin folder, open that and locate TS3.exe, right-click and make a shortcut, drag the shortcut to your desktop and run the game from that. This
can free up roughly 20% of your CPU power, wasted on running the launcher as well. If you want to install CC at any time afterwards, just run it from the launcher as normal.
