Help Requested | Vampire Glitch

I’ve started up the sims 3 again for the first time in a while. I’ve been playing for a few days, and didn’t notice any bugs until I wanted to make a vampire. I made her in CAS and noticed once I started playing that although she looks like a vampire (pale skin, glowing eyes, snores with V s) she has no vampire actions and her needs are the standard green human needs?

I tried several things to remedy this (after backing up the important folders). I use CC and mods so I removed all of those. I turned her human, saved/exited/restarted, then used a bottled vampires bite to make her into a vampire again. I used NRaas to change her to human, saved/exited/restarted, and then used NRaas to change her into a vampire. I cleared my caches. There has been no change. Sunlight has no effect on her, she doesn’t get vampire noodles or actions or needs.

I have all the expansion packs. I don’t use any mods that touch occult states or actions or behaviour, just CC and some fixes. I’ve tried searching online for discussion of the problem and I’ve found a few mentions, but I followed the advice to no avail, and I can’t find anything more because the search mostly turns up Sims 4 info.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! It’s not the end of the world if I can’t resolve this, but I would like to play a vampire with the working actions. I’ve played with ghost, witch, fairy, werewolf, plumbot, plantsim, and mermaid, and all of these work just fine as far as I’ve seen, vampire’s the only one that’s fundamentally broken. (the one other glitch i’ve seen is that while diving I could not interact with sims underwater? this occurred as a plumbot, I don’t know if that was the problem as I didn’t get high diving level with a regular sim to check)

The first question is whether this is simply a corrupt sim, or you have a wider problem. If you make a new vampire in CAS, does that sim have the proper vampire powers? If not, what about a human sim you create that you then change into a vampire with NRaas MasterController? No need to spend much time on these sims; this is just for testing.

If only this sim is affected, and you'd still like to play with her, you can save her sim template in CAS and see whether a new sim created from this template can function as a vampire.

If all sims are affected, please remove all your custom content and all mods except those from NRaas and test again.

I've tried making a fresh vampire in CAS in the same world and a new world, and in both they did have the correct needs in purple, the vampire run animation, the vampire powers, and etc! In the world I intend to play I then tried making my vamp as a new sim in CAS by pullling her from the sim bin, and that resulted in the same problem of only having the skin/eyes/sleeping Vs and nothing else.

I then tried taking a newly made vampire (which worked as intended) and bringing them into CAS via NRaas MC to pull my sim from the CAS bin that way. Some weird things happen here. Her needs are purple now and she kept the 'favourite food: o negative', but the moment I unpaused the game, thirst changed back to hunger (though still purple). She did not keep the vampire run animation but she did keep vampire social interactions? However the exception is drinking/any vamp-specific ways to get plasma as far as I can tell? The options just aren't there. The hunger bar displays the regular sim hunger tooltip, another irregularity is that I can't do anything to it with testingcheatsenabled, I can't manually change hunger level though the other bars I can.

It's really strange. I guess It might be some CC used on her specifically? But I've made other sims with CC and it's really strange that it's only broken vampirism as far as I can tell, and she was still broken when I removed all CC and mods. I didn't try pulling her from the CAS bin when I was testing that though so I don't know if that would have helped any

uh. so teen vampires, huh? those uh...... it appears I have forgotten more about the game than I thought and I completely neglected to explore that possibility. Kind of forgot she was a teen...

thank you so much for your help still, I was just going to live with the fact that it was 'broken' and stop investigating, I never would have figured it out LOL
