Any way to remove Scare activity from a Sim?
I thought it would be fun to give one of my sims the childish trait, but its proving to be a real nuisance. It's like my sim spends every waking moment trying to scare other family members which is really disruptive and annoying.

I removed the childish trait through MC but the behaviour remains.

Are there any other methods I can try to terminate the trait or the activity itself? I'm getting super fed-up manually cancelling the animation umpteen times per hour.

I think I just had a breakthrough. Seems that you need to reset sim in order to refresh their traits.

Finally my sims can now enjoy a productive lifestyle. Yay!

IIRC, another way to do it is to make sure that the sim also has the "Good" trait. One of my sims has both these traits, and I've NEVER seen her use the "Scare" interaction. It counts as one of the mean interactions, and Good sims don't do those interactions on their own.

Hmm, interesting. So Good trait is considered a counter-trait for the purposes of ruling out certain behaviours?

My other sim has Good but apparently that doesn't exclude her from playing pranks. She doesn't scare people, but I'm pretty sure that is exclusive to the Childish trait.

Lesson learned and bullet dodged though. It's so nice not having my sims constantly interrupted. Things are flowing well now. :)

If you don't want to change a sim's traits, you can use NRaas Retuner to set any interaction you want to invalid for autonomous, meaning you could assign it but sims wouldn't choose it on their own. The only difficulty is finding the path within Retuner for the specific interaction, but I could do that for you if you wanted.

I may have a play around with that Retuner thing. Sounds pretty awesome. I'm curious if that could be used to tune things not covered by traits. Appreciate the tip.

Retuner can reach pretty much any tuning value that isn't table-based. A few examples:

- Change the time an upgrade takes to complete or how much progress it grants towards increasing the sim's skill level.
- Make any interaction invalid for autonomous or valid for pregnant sims.
- Change the skill level at which certain interactions unlock.
- Set the number of zombies that spawn or the chance that a new baby receives an Imaginary Friend.
- Change the positive or negative impact for certain interactions on relationships.

If you want somewhere to get started, here's a list of commonly used Retuner settings:

Damn that's quite fantastic. I'm going to get onto that as soon as I can get my game running smoothly again. Something is bloating the hell out of the cache files and my game turns to poop lol.

Thank you also for the resource.
