The Sims™ 3

Casino is "Visitors Allowed" type lot, but I can not build it
The Casino is specifically a "visitors allowed" type lot and size is 60x60, but when I change the property type to Community visitor's allowed I am not allowed to build the casino even on a lot size of 64x64. No option shows up for building it similar to various other buildings I purchased from The Sims 3 store even though I own this building and listed among various other buildings of mine as an option for building. Any reason why? The lot is not too small for building and the lot type was specified to be visitors allowed as well, but not sure why I can not build it from edit town. I should not be having any problems with this, but I am.

I am not sure if me switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11 has something to do with it or if it is actually something else. I have built a casino before in the past on The Sims 3 from the store, but for some strange and unknown reason I can not build it as of recent. I tried building one of the casinos on one of my worlds that does not have a casino, but it did not work.

Is the lot completely flat? That might be the issue. However, I've had this same sort of problem trying to build a visitors allowed eatery on a lot. I never did figure out a way to get it to work.

It might help to tell us which town you are trying to build the casino in, since some towns have more issues with this sort of thing. Maybe puzzleaddict will have a solution for you.

My first question would be whether you can build something else on that same lot. If you can't place another venue, then build something manually, like a wall, and bulldoze the lot in Edit Town. (Building something first makes sure you're not deleting the lot itself, only whatever's on it.) Then try again to place the casino.

If you can in fact place other buildings on this lot, test the casino on a different lot within the same save.

And no, this has nothing to do with updating to Windows 11.

I have been able to successfully get the casino before at Aurora Skies, but that does not seem to work anymore and I do not know why. My theory is that it has something to do with me switching from windows 10 to windows 11, but it could also be something else. Reason why I am not certain. I also tested resident lots on The SIms 3 and they seem to work fine contrary to some community lot types.

This issue happened enough times to me on Windows 10, with different buildings, that I don't think it has anything to do with Windows. Try puzzleaddict's suggestions and let us know the results. :tshappydanielpleasant:

Does puzzleaddict make youtube videos? How do I find puzzleaddict? On Steam and if on Steam then where?

puzzleaddict left some suggestions further up on this thread. Did you not see them? They don't have an avatar picture, so maybe you assumed the question mark symbol was for your comments and you didn't notice that the name for the person leaving the comment is different than yours.

I see that. Just noticed.

Thank you. Maybe I should try this out sometime and see if it actually works.

It's not related to windows 11. It happened to me on window 10 and 11.

When you change the lot type many time invisible things are left on it. You can resolve it with NRAAS mod Master Controller easily.
Start by entering in the consol the cheat code testingcheatsenabled true. After that..

-Clic on the ground of the lot and select Nraas/MasterController.
-I don't remember were it is exactly but find the command delete or sell object and do it.

After that you should be able to place anything you whant. But if you don't have the master controler mod maybe the puzzlezaddict method will work.

PS: You can also use this command on the NPC's to clean there inventory that fills many unusefull things that with time, slow's the game.
