My sim can't stop running.

So one of my sims decided one day that is was a good idea to run everywhere, however I dont. So how in the damn hell do I make my sim stop running everywhere?

testingchetaenabled true cheat, then shift vlick a raindom sim then shift click your sim from the raindom sim, then object deleat. your welcome.

Er, that's rather drastic.

Often you can fix this by clicking somewhere and telling your Sim to "Go Here", but in the command at the top left, change "automatic" to "walk".

This is very similar to a Sim (especially a teen) getting stuck in the sneaking animation. If Cruinne's fix (which is the simplest and works most often) doesn't do the job, resetting the Sim sometimes will (with testingcheatsenabled turned on, resetsim (first name) (last name)). A bit more drastic method would be to go into edit town mode and evict your Sim from their house and move them back in, but it's an iffy fix (only works about half the time that I try it).

The NRaas DebugEnabler mod (http://nraas.wikispaces.com/DebugEnabler) has a Reset Walk Style command if none of those work for you. There is also a mod called Walk Style Fixer (http://modthesims.info/d/411351) that might do the trick, but I never had much success with it and resort to the NRaas fix if the others don't work.

If all else fails, simply go to Edit Town, evict the family from their lot, then move them back in. This resets the family and for me, usually gets rid of bugs like always running or invisible sims.

the best way to do it is to just reset the sim via the overhead commands:

ctrl+shift+c (hold these all at the same time)
testingcheatsenabled true (i pretty much always type that in before i even go in game)
ctrl+shift+c (again, all at the same time)
resetsim FirstName LastName (obviously you'll replace those with your sim's name)

that should work. if all else fails you may have a corrupted file.

you can also try downloading a mod called overwatch, which cleans up the clutter and errors in your game. it is extremely useful and will even speed your game up a bit. you can find the mod on nraas.wikispaces.com.
