Minutes in Gaming: Four Reasons Why The Sims 4 Sucks!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY__IL8Cz8k
The gimmick for poor performance, poor optimisation and poor sim interaction was "open world/cast" and because they never bothered to fix their crummy routing issues or fps limit, you'll be forever correcting the game through overwatch.
Did you ever buy anything in the sims 3 store Red? I'll bet EA loved you too, that's where the overpriced for next to nothing in return began.
This is why I really dislike sims 3 fanbois, anyone with a different opinion to you is shilling, stop being drama queens.
Sims 3 destroyed rotational play for sims 2 players and left out so much of what sims 2 had in the base game. We lost cinematics, fears, memories, chemistry, star signs, no career rewards, no piano, hot tubs, wedding arches in base game; and instead gave us "open world" (which the rabbit holes destroyed anyway) big whoop, means as much to me as "emotions".
Not to mention the dumbed down system of traits over personality points took away all those tiny touches that made sims 2, sims unique. Or the terrible way they dealt with the "open for business" store set, where you couldn't sell anything you made or grew? wtf?
Sims 3 fanbois don't get to throw stones when sims 3 is when the game became ♥♥♥♥♥.
LMAO...other than free points no, i never bought anything from the sims 3 store. after all, games 4 the world is an amzing saying that negates any need to buy anything from the sims 3 store..LMAO. And wow, talk about idiocy, to mention giving money to EA while shuiilling for 500$ worth of junk for sims 4?..that's rich...the MAJORITY of Simmers are not wrong, whether that bothers you or not, I have the COMPLETE sims 4 package all the way to Seasons. and don't even bother to ask..LMAO....and can still not get myself to play it. what fun parts are quickly bored out. Everything I said about it is accurate. both from common majority opinion to personal experience. My sims 3 (full package (Except pets which I do not install), all store items, all store neighborhoods ALL INSTALLED) works fine and dandy with just those few simple NRASS mods. I have very little stutter, loading times do get high after I've had a world running for 50 years with 250 sims and all their data in it, takes about 6 minutes to load and save. Which about makes up for the 10 minutes of loading screens to play sims 4 for each 60 minutes you play it. LMAO. I bet you're on Bethesda forums shilling for fallout 76 too? Now you run along and spit 40$ at EA for whatever that next debacle Expansion is that just came out, or about to..LMAO
4 can have cute graphics (with mods) sometimes, the club mechanic can be fun, so on and so forth, but its just SO inferior to the gameplay of 3...as you said, You just cannot touch perfection, and sims 3 was/is it. If they had only just remade 3 with extras and updated graphics they'd have made a billion since release easy...lol
Anyways. The original Sims was honestly my favorite over Sims 2 but after going through so much with Sims 3. I like it more. A lot of this bias comes from my enjoyment out of the Supernatural EP. Sims 2 did have this but I never got it. Plus, they made the witches/wizards in Sims 2 pretty terribly in my honest opinion while Sims 3 went back to more of the original "Makin' Magic" approach where you basically just have full access to magic and just have to get good with the skill. No appearance and no "Good vs Evil" nonsense. Just straight up magic.
And as for Sims 4... Eh. It doesn't seem to offer anything additional than what Sims 3 already does successfully, so I really have no interest in trying it. It even does some changes that I don't like in both CAS and the world aspect.
So, at the end of the day... I gotta say Sims 3 is my favorite.
None of the other versions of the franchise was that good! The Sims game was AWESOME when Will Wright was in charge, The Sims was fantastic! The Sims 2 was even better, unbelievable! It is really a pity he wasn't there when The Sims 3 was created, released and produced a big disappointment, and The Sims 4 seems to be going the same depressing way...
An intelligent and creative guy makes all the difference. Will Wright created a great game, he listened to the players and produced a second version of it with everything the first version had, plus a lot of improvements in all areas of the game, adding what players asked. When we thought the third version was going to do the same adding more to what we had in The Sims 2, Will Wright wasn't there any longer, and they cut off a lot of interactions we had in The Sims 2, the game took a big step backwards, and never was the same again.
