Thanks for trying to help mate, I've got it under control now! :D
But.... How do I make my girlfriend move in with me, or I move in with her?
The key with getting someone to move in is to do friendly interactions until the option appears.
I should do romantic interactions only until I am where I want to be (do you mean "romantic interest" or "boy/girlfriend" or something like that?
A single friendly interactino sets me back (back to "friendly status" or just one step back)... but if I want someone to move in I have to do friendly interactions - so if there is already a romantic interest, I have to set the status back?
And do I get this right - Wohoo is only possible if there is boy/girlfriend status? Do I reach this status by further romantic actions?
I already managed to have someone stay overnight but my two Sims are not able to sleep in the same bed although it is a double bed and it is in the middle of the room. (status is romantic interest) Are they only sleeping in the same bed as boy/girlfriend even without Wohoo?
I have a romntic interest, they sleep together. I have no idea how to let them become boyfriend and girlfriend though
Now, moving in is a "Friendly" interaction, so your friendship has to be really good to ask someone to move in with you - that is, the whole green bar filled (or nearly so) in the relationship panel. This can't be done in a single encounter - the relationship takes time to form. Also, for two Sims to sleep in the same bed, they need a really good relationship.
"Going Steady" (how you become boyfriend/girlfriend) is a "Romantic" interaction. They have to have a good relationship, but the option will show up under Romantic options once you're being romantic enough (as will Propose and the various marriage options).
"Woohoo" and "Try for Baby" are Romantic options. The thing with these are that you have to persistently do Romantic interactions to put them "in the mood". Doing a Friendly interaction at this point ruins the mood and you need to build it back up again. It doesn't damage the relationship though - just the mood for Woohooing. Usually "Woohoo" and its compatriots show up under Romance once the Sim that your Sim is Romancing thinks your Sim is "being irresistable".
They do need to at least be friend status, and I think it helps if they're a little bit romantic too (having flirted a bit).
Generally, when this sort of natural affinity / attraction is displayed, the two sims will be very easy to put into a long term romantic relationship with each other. This isn't necessarily common tho.
There was a time I had a really rough and sloppy looking guy with the "inappropriate" trait. He was intended to be a disaster of a character. He suddenly and unexpectedly kissed a woman who was over for a visit. Somehow she didn't mind, just took it in stride. (Usually they freak out / get creeped out / start to dislike the other Sim.)
It's surprises like this that keep me interested in this game.
