Will Sims in the Library Folder appear in town?

I've got a variety of Sims that I created based off some friends and I'd like them to show up in the town as NPCs while I play as my personal Sims. Is this possible or do they have to be moved in to the neighborhood for them to actually appear in game?

I've tried an 8 sim household and while it is amusing I feel it is alot harder to focus on the various features of the game and it's expansions when you have to manage the needs and such of 8 different sims.

Bin sims will not show up in the game unless you specifically put them there. They're just saved copies of Sims that you might want to use in a future household, so the game tends to ignore them.

Agreed on the large household. I tried it once and the game slowed down to a crawl as I tried to manage each one individually (not for performance reasons, but because I was constantly pausing to issue new instructions). My households typically run 3 to 5 these days just to keep things manageable.

That is what I figured the case would be, ah well. I'm giving it a try in the Late Night town where I moved the other sims into the various apartments around town to see if I run into them as NPCs.

I do that from time to time, especially when I play in player-created worlds that are unpopulated. I drop some of my bin Sims into housing and then let the StoryProgression mod hand the rest of the populating. It's always nice to have a familiar face or two show up in a new town.
