The Sims™ 3

The Sims™ 3

Chromebook
What I understand from reading the review and from personal experience, I cannot install Stream on my Chromebook because apparently it does not have the capability to install bulky programs. However, is there someone out there who has bypassed this problem? Is there another way I can use Stream with my Chromebook?
I just bought it today and bought a Sims game; now feeling like a complete idiot without doing the research first.

A chromebook is for web browsing. It can't handle TS3, even on the lowest settings. Ask for a refund.

A Chromebook also doesn't run Windows - and Steam only sells Sims 3 for Windows.

This. Sims 3 is only available on Windows and Mac. I mean, I guess if you really wanted to you could mess with Wine, but on a chromebook? I wouldn't even bother. You're going to get like 5 fps on min settings. Maybe 10 at absolute most at like... 640x480.

I looked around online and saw you could run Steam through programs called Unbuntu or Crouton but honestly, not a computer genius and I don't have the patience for it. I did get a refund for the Chromebook. Thanks guys

Good luck, make sure If youre getting something to play TS3 on it can handle it well. Good game but can be a bad experience if you can't run it well. :)

I used to work for Google and was on the Chromebook marketing team, a chrome book is not a PC that can download programs it only uses apps. It has no ability to run this game in any fashion.
