Is this game ever on sale?

If you go in one of the DLC's you will realize there is "The Sims 3 Collection" which includes all dlc (but not base game i think?) with a discount

Beside that it does go on a sale. If i remember correctly it was on 75% sale like a few months back

They do sales but they are really trying to get people to forget about this game and get sims 4 instead for whatever reason (even though this one is usually more expensive)

If you ask me i would say wait for eventual sale and get sims 3 (open world alone makes the game better than 4 but that's just my opinion)

Anyway, I was searching and steam doesn't want anyone to know that they also sell a Sims 3 Collection, which includes all the expansion packs, and Electronic Arts WILL put that on sale from time to time.

Steam doesn't want you to buy the Sims 3 Collection, cos they won't enable you to put it on your wishlist. I have to do a manual search for it, every single time. I only found out about this Collection recently, sad to say.

Cos it was sale in MAY.

Steam does let you know that there is a collection if you go to any of the expansion pack's store pages. Wishlisting at least one of them is enough to get you notified about it because they're always together on sale. The only reason it doesn't show in the base game's page is because the base is not in the collection. You only have to blame the publisher for that, in this case - EA.

There is a sale for all the sims 3 accesories and the game as well but only few times a year. They are all usually on sale during some holidays like new year or easter you know what I mean

This game used to be on sale a lot more often, until Sims 4 hit Steam. It's actually quite frustrating because I almost had them all before Sims 4 hit steam. Call me cheap, but I certainly don't want to have to pay $20 a pop when I can just wait it out. And I CERTAINLY don't want Sims 4. That cheap swill of a game tries so hard to compare itself to Sims 2. And unlike The Sims 2, The Sims 4 isn't even decently playable unless you also get a few select expansions to properly finish fleshing out the game.

It went on sale not to long ago. I bought the whole collection for only 60 bucks :D it's a great game. Just be on the look out for The Sims 3 collection edition.

It goes on sale every few months and the complete collection gives you another discount, the best sales are at summer and winter IIRC.

Actually, this was on the summer sale. It was 50% off. I actually picked up one of the stuff packs I was missing.
