How do I install mods in sims 3 since I have the steam version?

I can't seem to figure out how to install mods (package files) to sims 3 since it's the steam version and there isn't a sims 3 folder in electronic arts there's only a sims 3 folder in the steam folder and when I download the necessary mod folder that I need with all the files the mods don't work.

The Steam version mod installation works exactly like the Origin or disk version.

If you have started the game up and run it at least once, you will have a folder in your computer's Documents directory called Electronic Arts and, inside it, a folder for The Sims 3.

Note that if you're using Windows 8.1, they say that all Libraries are hidden from the file explorer by default, so you might need to change a setting to see it.

Just google for how to mod The Sims 3 and find a video. I don't do videos, but there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, already out there.

it worked with Windows 10 so I assume it will work in Windows 11 as well
