Get the key from your Steam library and register it with Origin. You'll be able to download and install the Mac version from them.

Go to game library and click the game and on the right, under "links" there should be "Show CD-key" or something like that. (Serial/CD-key, Product Key, can't remember which one it's in english)

Umm I meant with click to select the game from the game library, so it changes the background to sims 3. (So it shows Sims 3 news, Install game and so on)

Then on the right side should be "Links" and under that is the Show CD-key.

Sorry if you did this and made you repeat it.

I changed my system to english, and it seems to be only "CD-Key" it doesn't show up for you?

I think the only way to get your CD Key if it doesn't show up in the game library is to contact to steam's customer support.

https://support.steampowered.com/

Create account there and then create ticket and explain what's the problem.
(They reply only on week days.)

Or if you've computer with windows and you can install steam to it so you can try to install the game to it.

So it may get the CD-key for you, because you've not ran it succefully any time yet, right?
(Not sure will this work but worth to try)

You're welcome.

After you get the CD-key you can go and register the game at http://www.thesims3.com/home.html (need to create/ or login to account)
and then download origin to your mac and install the mac version of the game.

Yes they're the same.

My Page -> My Account -> Register a game is where you should add the cd-key.

Yes, I forgot. You have to install and run the game once in order to get the key. Do you have a Windows machine you could try that on? Elsewise, I think Steam Support is your only option.

People buy Macs and then complain they can't play Windows games :steamfacepalm:
