How to increase font size in the sims 3? It's too small to read on a 2k or 4k monitor

Is there a way to increase the font size, especially in the text-heavy areas like item/purchase description?
I successfully managed to do that in sims 2 by modifying FontStyle.ini.
Is there something similar in sims3?

This is what I found from an older thread on this topic. I couldn't find any other threads on the issue.

Sims doesn't really deal well with higher resolutions - my laptop's native resolution is 3840 x 2160 and the game is useless at that. I run it at the smalled 16:9 resolution possible, and it helps considerably.

You might also try UI scaling and such, in the Windows settings to see if any of it helps.

I don't think they implemented this.

In sims 2 I made really convenient to read font by modyfing FontStyle.ini.

The Windows UI scaling is a global setting that tells other programs to scale their UI.

There's no fontStyle.ui for Sims 3. You're pretty much reliant on running it at a lower resolution, or using Windows scaling.

Sorry for necroing, but there actually is a file that has the font styles in it. it's in the UI.package (The Sims 3\Game\Bin\UI\UI.package), you just need s3pe and extract the resource TextStyles and change the font sizes, to something you prefer. (It doesn't scale the UI itself though or use this mod [modthesims.info] if you are playing in english, for other languges there are different Text styles files.
