Help!
I'm having the same problem with my cats not being able to do things off lot but now I know it's caused by a bug in nraas master controller It's necessary for me to use nraas and even when I do remove it the sims still can't do things of home lot

Can you be more specific as to what you are doing so those who can help are able to more easily? What can you click on and what can you not click on as a cat?

Ok so I can click and preform all options as long as I'm on home lot however if I got to click literally anywhere else (unless it's shift + click) then nothing will happen, no option wheel nothing. I'm pretty sure it's a nraas bug because it says something along the lines of script error or something then a select amount of my sims or cats can't do anything of home lot.

May I ask if you could bring this issue and its script error logs to us at NRaas? There aren't any reported bugs with MasterController specifically related to cats as described, or at least none that I know of. But if the mods are generating script error logs (as opposed to letting the game just crash) when an impossible to perform command is encountered, they may provide clues as to what the underlying problem is.

(free Wikispaces account and NRaas membership required to upload and post; yes we know the wiki is "shutting down" but it's still business as usual until we are ready to move to our new site) :)

I'm not sure if what the impossible to perform command is all I've done is tweak ages with master controller, add a few cats to family trees and make exactly 3 sims turn into plant sims, I've been using nraas for a year now and this has happened once before I believe however it was on a much smaller scale. It's also not exclusive to cats it's also affected a plant sim of mine before.
I also use nraas to switch between three house holds pretty regularly.

An "impossible to perform command" doesn't necessarily mean a player directed one. It could be something within the game that the mods are catching to prevent it from crashing. The script logs could give us some clues as to why that is happening and your click commands are vanishing.

Or it could be, yes you have discovered a bug in MC that no one else has ever reported yet and we could work to get that fixed.

I'll have to wait until I get this problem again (if I do) when I do I'll tell you exactly what it says

there's the number and the sims affected by it are the white cat and the cat with a black eye
I killed one other who I planned to die in the story and the number grew again! she was also infected, this problem has happened to some big characters and it's devastating!

Have you posted over at NRaas forums as they requested?

What the message in the upper right corner is saying is that at least one of these sims in the portrait panel on the left side of the screen is having an impossible time forming the tool tip that should appear when you mouse over them.

You are using the PortaitPanel mod to display that many sims. Use City Hall or an in-game computer, or click the right arrow button you see in the lowest left corner of the panel just below the 8th sim listed in the first column, to get to the mod's settings (they will all take you to the same place) and try NRaas > PortraitPanel > General > Show Known Info > False to shut down the tooltip generator at least for now. You may then need to save and reload the game if the errors don't stop looping.

Can't tell yet if this is the real problem or just a symptom. The number that appears only tells us that you had over 8,800 instances of the tooltip error and growing, that won't stop all by itself. If the errors still don't stop or if the sims are still not controllable, we really need to see what the script log files say (at NRaas, not here) to be able to assist any further. It's also possible that the "real" errors might start showing up, again we need the script log files to see this, once the tooltip errors stop generating by the thousands.

I'll try to remember to post this problem to nraas itself but for now I have the problem of when I click on a computer or the city hall all I get is this

I've already tried total reset

Got it, this is easy to fix. Your version of PortraitPanel is so far outdated that it was never meant to run on Patch 1.67. If MasterController were similarly outdated, that would have explained the issues with the cats and other sims from the very beginning. The script logs I kept asking for would have told us this too.

I suggest that you update all of your mods to their current versions. If you use ErrorTrap, be sure to get the v100 for Steam 1.67, not the one for 1.69. That's the only one that has different releases for the two current patch levels.

Sorry again for not providing those.
Should I get version Ten for portrait and Twelve for master controller

Always get the latest released version of the nraas mods you use. And seeing as the patch level for Steam is 1.67, you need to grab the versions that are made for patch 1.67 to 1.69.
