Note to self. . . .Lots with spawners hinder load times. . .
Yeah I know this. I forgot. I had placed a CC cemetery that had over 20 bug/fish spawners on it. What I didn't know, was that it had that many BEFORE I placed it. Luckily, I had buydebug turned on so that I could see them after it finialy loaded (first time took around 10 minuters). What I then forgot was, to delete those after I rotated the lot for placement. I rotated it twice. So, 60-some spawners and 20 minutes later, the lot finially placed where i wanted it to. I went back and removed the extra spawners. What I didn't know, was that it affects the load times of everything around it. I just spent a half hour trying to place a lot adjacent to it. I forced the game to close the first time and had to reload twice. So, note to self, and anybody else. . .spawners suck en mass. And remember that if you place a lot that has them, they will stay where they are when you rotate the lot and new ones will show up where they are supposed to normally be.

That is all.

Thanks for sharing. :)
Better still grab more RAM. In this day and age 16GB RAM is the norm for PC Gamers, sure 8GB would suffice but 16 is a better failsafe. Hardcore PC gamers even future proof their rigs by going full 32GB or even 64GB which is obscenely over the top.

The Sims 3 is a 32 Bit application. Even if you had all the RAM in the world it still wouldn't do anything for the game.
I disagree having lots of RAM (and an SSD) definitely helps decrease load times for TS3. I have every EP & SP save for KPST, as well as every EA Store crap and several CC mods and load times for me is literally seconds... 30 seconds to be exact.

No it doesn't. The game can't utilize over 4GB RAM. Only reason to have say 8GB for the Sims 3 is for Windows and background applications so TS3 has access to a FULL 4GB.

Loading times are influenced by the speed of the RAM, not the amount. And and SSD obviously.

Don't worry. I've already downloaded as much ram as my laptop can hold. Now if only I could figure out how to open the retractable coffee cup holder. . .

P.S. This issue is the same as lag/frame rate drops and tearing that people have been commenting on in the FO4 forums. It's not a computer limitation. It's a program limitation. TS3 can only handle so much. If you burden it with too much, it will not be able to process everything.
What the frick is "FO4" anyway :P

...Oh wait "Fallout 4" my bad.

The only SIMs communities one definitely need to join in are:

modthesims
TSR
the nraas wiki (which will soon move to a new home)
EA's own SIMs forums *(albeit their community is mediocre at best)
moreawesomethanyou
and simsassylum

Yeah, it's always a good idea. Some lots have spawners that will stay even if you clear and/or delete the lot. And if you don't delete them before you remove the lot, it can lead to the infamous, "can't place on lots" message when you try to put down another lot in the same area.
