Some of the EPs do not come with worlds (Gen, Seasons) or do not come with homeworlds where games can be started but rather travel destinations (WA, Uni, ITF).
there is there is all the expansion pack things are there exept for the worlds. and the expansion packs i got are supposed to come with maps.
Which expansion packs do you have installed? That might be a good place to start checking.
i installed pets and supernatural
These EP world maps won't show up in Edit Town once already in a game, only on the startup selector screen.
OK. The first place I'd check would be \Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\EP5\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds and see if there is an AppaloosaPlains.world file present (you can change EP5 to EP7 for Moonlight Falls). If one or both are not there, then have Steam verify your game files:
right-click the game in your library -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify game cache files
It's normal for Steam to reacquire a couple of files when you verify the cache, but those files should be present in those locations, so Steam should reacquire more than a couple.
My working assumption is that you purchased and installed both EPs through Steam. If you got them from somewhere else (physical media, Origin, whatever) this is not going to work because Steam's base game will only work with EPs/SPs purchased through Steam because it does not install to the same registry keys and file locations that the vanilla Origin game installs to.
Wondermous! (or "fantabulous!" or something like that). Happy Simming!
