Does Nraas SP Mod allow you to NOT take every promotion?
I am considering going ahead and trying Nraas Story Progression mod, but I'm still on the fence. (for many reasons, though I'm not worried about ruining my game anymore)
With this mod does it allow you to say...keep a particular level at a job?
I know some jobs ask, But some do not...you just get promoted. ie School teachers for one! I have a few characters in different games who are teachers, and I don't want them to move up and up. I mean in RL most teachers don't become VP or P or Superintendent. Why would you if you love your job? I want some of my sims to be able to stay a Highschool teacher or Grade school teacher...or just a surgeon or just a reporter...etc. I keep using the mods I have to change them back, but it gets tiresome because promotions are way to easy. Even if I have them slack off or only talk to coworkers, boom they get promoted.

Story Progression excludes the active household from its progression stuff. It wouldn't automatically promote/demote your Sim, although if your Sim met the requirements for the next career level, the game itself would promote them without your having to do anything. The same cannot be said for the other Sims in town, and for those Sims SP can have some funny effects. One of my Sim's friends was passed over for promotion, promoted to Vice President, and demoted within the space of about a Sim-hour or so. Corporate life must be really cutthroat.

LOL. Oh well, it was a thought. I wish that at least the school profession would allow one to stay a teacher at whatever level one wants, but any promotion should be an option IMO. Though I wish it was as easy to make money in RL as in the Sims.

Nraas has one available called No Free Performance, so your sim won't get promoted if they don't have all the requirements on full. That's at least something.

Nraas MasterController with the Cheats module installed will also let you specify job level and performance at any time. So you could keep the performance down on a daily basis, and 'demote' yourself if you ever got promoted accidentally.

It's not ideal (ie. automatic), but it is something.

Yeah, I do that right now, but I was hoping the Sp mod allowed one to keep the level without the extra steps.
So many glitches, I can see why some people give up. Llike the aging thing that occurs when you dress your sims in CAS. I noticed it can age them up or down within their age level. I always check their age before hand so I can correct it after CAS. (thank you mods!) So silly the company never fixed that. The other main things that bug me are that you can't invite your grandkids over when they are babies or toddlers for some reason. And what's worse is that family members get the rude guest thingy when visiting if they make the bed or do dishes or shower or whatever...which is even more irritating! But some stupid random sim with a mooch trait get's ignored?? WTF? LOL I get that a party guest shouldn't do some of those things, but I would hardly be upset if my sibling or parents cleaned up after themselves or used my shower.
