About premade sim bios
I'd like to know if there's a way to see pre-made bios without playing them. It seems like it should be something that's possible. The only way is by looking them up in a search?
I've seen some vids that show bios that look like part of the game. This is what I'm asking. If there's some sort of command I haven't been able to find.

The Sims in each town have stories that unfold on their own, and they have traits that are pre-programmed. If you choose to play a town Sim, then the final list of listed and hidden traits will vary according to what choices you make with your town Sim, and who they befriend. As for the pre-made Sims in CAS, you can still choose which traits they will have.

Are you talking about town Sims or pre-made Sims in CAS?

Are you talking about the household bios? If so, click the three dots in the lower-left corner of the screen, select Edit Town, and click on any household to see its description.

I'm talking about townies and their descriptions in their bio. Like example-

"Last to join the house based on a recommendation by a friend of a friend, Stiles McGraw's excessive average-ness is a mystery to all his roommates."

That was copy pasted off the wiki, but it's their official biography, same as all sims who are in the base game worlds ( If I understand right, expansion sims don't have bios)

I sort of got my question answered I guess. There's no way to pull up those bios from the sims. I'll just keep hitting the wiki. I just enjoy knowing the stories and the personalities.

Ah, I see. You want to know the background story for each one - kind of like the lore on RPG games. I don't know much other than what I gather from playing each family. Although, some townies do have books in the library about their family's history.

Yeah, it's just how I play. I create my sim as a single sim household, then start her life. The only interactions and relationships are with the townies, who I never play on myself. Even if I move one in, I don't play them.
Eventually, I'll know all of them on sight, but I haven't gotten that much time in to know them... yet. It's not like they can tell me their story themselves. It's why I'm a convert to 3 from 4. They actually have backstory and personalities, which for me makes it a lot more fun.

I've learned a lot of things from playing different townies. That is one of my main goals - to play every one of them. I make a lot of my own families, as well, though. It's going to take a long time before I've played every family in every town.

For instance, the Goth family. There are a lot of ghosts. There are a lot of paintings in the house. You start to add things up. Mrs. Crumplebottom. I was surprised the first time I played her. I just thought she was a lonely spinster. I had no idea she was a widow and her family had connections to previous generations of townies.

Visiting the graveyard and talking to the ghosts gives some clues to things, as well. The ghosts will often read books and leave them on the ground, and you can get more books by exploring the catacombs. You can read the tombstones, if I remember correctly (it's been some months since I've played the game).
