The Sims 3 Pets doesn't show the CD Keys

I'm using Mac and I want to play The Sims 3. I googled it and found out the solution which is purchasing it on Steam, then look for a CD Keys and activate it on Origins. The problem here is I can't find the CD Keys for The Sims 3 ; Pets anywhere. The game itself was already shown in my Steam Library. But that's not what I want since I don't use Windows. What can I do?

Interesting. The last time someone tried that with EA support and Steam support they got the run-around, i.e., talk to Steam Support, no, talk to EA support, no, talk to Steam . . .

Anyway, one way to get the CD key for the base game is to make an Origin account, then register one of your expansion packs (except Pets), and Origin will download it's version of the base game and give you a key for that.

Both Steam and EA started hiding the keys for both the base game and Pets a year or two ago because people were re-selling the keys.

i had no issue finding my pets cd key at all, so i put it in on origin and it registered as you'd expect.

odd how some can't see their pets cd key.

I found the key for Pets at Computer \ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ WOW6432Node \ Electronic Arts \ Sims (Steam) \ The Sims 3 Pets \ ergc but this key that is listed there. is not accepted by origin or steam. use the Windows key + R to open: regedit

One person recently said that Steam support gave them the key for Pets. To get the key for the base game, make an account on Origin, then register one of your expansion packs. Origin will then download it's version of the base game for you, and you can use the CD key from that.

I'm wondering how long ago this was for both of you. You might have purchased and registered the game on EA before they started hiding the keys.

I just got the Sims 3 collection today. I activated all key's at Origin. The expansion of The Sims 3 Pets there although it is indicated that this expansion is available. This extension is not listed for the keys of The Sims 3 with the option (management - product key). I found the key at Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\Sims (Steam)\The Sims 3 Pets\ergc
but this key does not work. it is not recognized by steam or Origin
I wrote to the support I am now waiting for an answer from them.

I did the same when I had the missing key issue with the base game a few days ago, but the game got added to my origin library instead and was automatically connected to sims3.com then. If others can´t get the key from customer support maybe asking to add the game to the library will help if someone has the issue because I heard usually customer support doesn´t give away keys anymore. Maybe you got lucky there.

Hey, I have the solution for pets! press Windows key + R then enter regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ WOW6432Node \ Electronic Arts \ Sims (Steam) \ The Sims 3 Pets \ ergc hir is the key of Pets now download from https://www.ea.com/ea -app-beta the application below looks that you are connected to your steam account. then click on the Steam symbol at the bottom right then on account settings you will then be referred to a web link there you go to Reedem Product Code and enter the key of Pets then you have installed the extension hope the contribution helps you

Right click on game in steam library list, manage, CD Keys. My Sims Pets key is right there on the list of other DLC keys.
