Vampire drink from sims question
Can you not drink from close relatives? I have a non-vampire adult offspring, my sim has a great relationship with them, but I have no option to drink.

First off, vampires can not drink blood or at least not that I am aware until hunger is replaced with thirst as young adults which you never specified how old your vampire is and if your vampire is younger than young adult (although, I am assuming that maybe you meant "young adult" since you mentioned offspring). As for not being able to drink blood from relatives important to keep in mind that I do not have any adult vampire sims yet; although, I do have a few teen vampire sims. Based on what I looked up online about vampires hunger is replaced with thirst as young adults, because even teens still experience hunger instead of thirst. And so, unfortunately I can not help with you with any information as to whether or not adult vampires can drink blood from relatives, but only adult vampires starting at young adult can drink the blood of other sims. Sims not related can most certainly be hunted and most certainly be drank blood from adult vampires, but unfortunately that is all I know. Maybe I can find out later and tell you, or perhaps if someone already knows he or she can tell you if adult vampires can drink the blood of sims who are related.

The offspring is young adult, and my vamp sim is adult. For some reason it just doesn't seem like you can drink from blood relatives, which I believe is an odd design choice.

I guess the game is trying to force adult vampires to actually hunt and find sims that are harder to get blood from by leaving home as opposed to family members that may not necessarily want to be bitten by a vampire; although, it might be harder to hunt and find a victim during the day especially in sunlight. I think that the reason why hunger is replaced with thirst is because vampires have fewer options for what they can survive on as opposed to eating normal food. The only thing I am not certain about is if adult vampires can also eat birthday cake as well, because of hunger being replaced with thirst. In theory adventures (such as France, Egypt, and China for example if you have that expansion pack) may be harder for vampires as well than normal sims, unless if you cheat.

nah, Vampires are actually super easy in WA.

Just hunt and drink from your hunt target and you'll have full thirst for like 3 days (you get a buff that prevents thirst decay till it falls off and vampires lose thirst at like 1/3 the rate humans need to eat. With hardly hungry you can go for like a week off 1 hunt target).

Or you can grow perfect Plasma Fruit. They give the same buff as drinking from the Hunt target.

Yeah I figured out my issue, I couldn't get plasma fruit cuz I didn't have the Late Night DLC. I'm good now lol.
