Not able to enter Dragon Cave

Adventures quest is to explore Dragon Cave. I'm at the entrance in the dragon's mouth, staring at a stone wall. The prompt to inspect wall comes up, but sim stomps his feet as to say he can't reach it! While panning the camera I can see a staircase behind the wall, but again, sim complains he can't get to it! What is going on?

This has happened to others, as well. I even had this on a few characters, but it always eventually resolved itself. Things you can try:

Reload the game.

Do other quests and try again.

Cancel the quest and pick it up again later. It's part of the storyline, so the game will eventually put the quest back on the quest board.

Let your character go back home (when you are ready, or when the game says your days are up). Try the quest again after you have made another trip to China.

One caveat: The game gets a bit confused when you switch the character that is doing the main story. Try to complete the story quests on the character that first started them. Again, even if the game gets confused, it has always eventually fixed things for me.

I still don't use any NRAAS mods yet, so I'm talking about the vanilla version of the game.

if you have nraas debug enabler installed you could reset the stone door to see if that helps if not, debug enabler might have an option to trigger the door opening.
