keep paparazzi out?

one of my sims is a celebrity and the paparazzi keep showing up at my house, now normally this isnt a problem except lately the paparazzi have been inviting themselves into my house and have been really keen on playing the drums at 3am when my sims are trying to sleep

i build a wall around my house and put a gate up but that doesnt seem to keep them out, so how can i keep em out of my house without locking all the doors cause i have a maid that shows up every day and i dont want to lock them out

It can get pretty annoying but they shouldn't be entering your house like that. That looks like a bug. There's an option to disable the Celebrity feature for your lot or you can reset the sim (because that seems like a bug to me). Ctrl-Shift-C then type in resetsim followed by the sim's name.

You can disable the celebrity system but that just makes Late Night less enjoyable (you can also opt active household out of the celebrity system). However I do not know if you have celebrity stars already and the impact of that option as I do not really use it because I have Nraas Register installed to control that type of population (paparazzi, consigment store cashiers, etc...). I also have the issue you described where uninvaited paparazzi just enter your home for some reason. They are annoying indeed but I found butlers to be even worse in Late Night

Place electronic gate and put wall over whole lot. Nobody will enter the lot.

"opt opt active household" does work. I had it off in Bridgeport - no paparazzi. When I traveled to Egypt it was reset to "opt in" and paparazzi appeared there. They usually can't enter your home and stay on your doorstep - they have access to your lot, not your home but sometimes it bugs out and they get inside - don't know why.

Yes, they do that even with a house without a gate (where they mostly stay at the door) but sometimes they can appear inside the house. Never found out why too. I also find out that like tourists having too much paparazzi in a world will lag it out (again this is why I use Nraas Register to limit such populations)

I use Nrass to reset them. They don't do anything else anyway. I reset zombies too.

Zombies seem to lag more my sims 3 than paparazzi (which is actually not surprising as I seem to have no way of capping how much of them can spawn at times)
