Sims 3 Exchange and Download issues....

So I guess I've encountered some issues.... Every time I wanna download something from the Exchange or Store a box pops out saying that "There was an error while downloading content", and after I uninstalled and re-installed the game I cannot play in any world other than Sunset valley, and my expansion pack contents are all gone. How could I solve that? Thanks.....

1. Be sure that Steam has finished downloading your game and DLC - check the Steam Library > Downloads to see if more are queued up/unfinished.

2. Try cleaning your registry using CCleaner. https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download (Be sure to choose the Registry clean, not the regular.)

3. Remove cookies and clear cache in Internet Explorer (even if you use a different browser normally, these are the ones affecting the log in to the store/Exchange and any cache issues there). https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/how-to-clear-cookies-browsing-history-and-cache/internet-explorer

By the way, it's a bad idea to try to transfer these onto Origin..... Because it would be bugged....

As for transfering to Origin: No, it's exactly the same game as here. There is a small modification to the launcher for Origin that lets you turn EPs/SPs on and off, but that is it. The only thing you shouldn't do is try to have both Steam version and Origin version on the same computer.
