Maybe he should try the private investigator, or the ghost hunter job. Those are fun jobs for my Sims.
I, too, find the Simbots creepy. So far, all the ones I get are female, and they are always trying to find a male Sim companion to date. They are really kind of ugly, in my opinion. I keep trying to like them, as I enjoy having a lot of variety in my town, but the Simbots are the ones I just can't deal with. I wish they behaved more like actual robots that just do chores around the house, instead of like reskinned Sims that have feelings and such.
Normal sims only get soaked when they get out in the rain and they can use an umbrella to avoid it.
I agree, simbots are not as good as the servos in sims 2. it was a weird idea to make them hydrophobic and not fix it with seasons. In ambitions there was no rain, the simbots were not as annoying, they were even useful to tend the toddlers
I like the rain. Playing aurora skies reminds me of my childhood in færoerne with rain 360 days/year. Not much snow but cold rain everyday.
There must be something to do to fix this annoyance. I mean the annoyance with simbots, not the rain ;)
