Is Aurora Skies a joke?

After years of playing The Sims 3 on and off I decided to buy two worlds from the official store - Midnight Hollow and Aurora Skies. Played Midnight Hollow for a bit and then decided to check Aurora Skies. I've edited the town before starting to play like I use to do. Put some community lots and some empty houses and when I went to town view to use the city hall to configure Story Progression mod I didn't see all the icons like the town hall, stadium, military base etc. Then I realized the "town hall" is a park. Changed to another family to see if there was at least a school and to my surprise there are no schools in the city. Is this a bug? Or am I supposed to put the most basic buildings needed for the game to function normally myself?

try to install the town again, im not sure if this will solve the problem, but its suposed to have a school, no official town from EA lacks basic functions to work, they may not have all the features of the game like not all worlds have boat houses or pent houses but, the basics should alwyas be there.

I have Aurora Skies on my computer and it is not having bugs like this, these basic buildings are completely functional. I guess maybe something happened during the installation process or when you edited the world you deleted something?

dont buy towns those are a waste of money i recommend using custom worlds

alpine county is the best, although setra is also good if you wanna live in the desert

I looked at some of the custom worlds but some require DLCs I don't have.

Shh. I recommend the word that cant be said here if you want EA store worlds in your game. The problem with custom worlds is what others mentioned. You may not own all content used in creating them.
