Is Pets worth the buy?

I got the base game n Uni life, i’d like to know if ppl on here think Pets is wortg it.

Whats your CPU? I think it can be definitely interesting DLC but the pets and stuff require bit of more pathfinding but adds flavour and pets can be part of the gameplay all the time, unlike traveling or smth

Well yeah I had fun with those 3 as well(and with Ambitions in 2010-11-12, I was working as ghost hunter a lot lol), but I didnt play with Pets much, cuz I had Q6600, 3 GB of RAM(1 burnt out) in my older PC. But I think if one has the single core IPC, and well the game can use 3 threads, sad that it cant use more, but I think its pretty nice flavours, and may bring more life into the house.

Really depends on what you want for your Sims. Pets play just like any Sim (you can assume control of them). And you must take care of them also just like any bady/toodler. Pets is well done, adds a lot to the game (better that TS4 Cats and Dogs). All depends is that if you can or cannot live with the adition of pets to your world (which is the same description I would give to TS3 Supernatural EP). It is a very situational, well made, dedicated content (in the case of Pets to pets)

For me easily firefighter took the cake as the best thing you could do in Ambitions. Everything is amazing there and very well done. From the profession itself to the audio on emergencies (I love that song). Also the fire engine siren is so realistic (has the horn effect in adition to the siren).

Also freaking detonation is so insanely good (no words really on this one). If your inventing skill is high enough you can attach a bomb to stuff and blow it up. Ambitions is good like that.

Pets is still very well made and very situational I feel (in the comparison you made will mean that Ambitions packs more punch in the things you can try).

From what I read it doesn't interest me - you need to control your pets like sims - I'd prefer they be autonomous.

With my long experience about Pets expansion pack, this one is probably low to mid tier fun for me (despite being animal lover). I think cats and dogs may look bored and uninterest than The Sims 1,2, and 4 for me.

Good things about Pets

Bad and issue things about Pets

- Interactions with horses may stop and removes interactions before successful doing.
- You cannot make purpose negative relationship by harms to pets, only pets harms to you.
- Mini pets (such as birds) may disappear from your sims inventory if keeps too long.
- Sometimes pets may make nightmare looking idle briefly (very rare happen).
- Pets very buggy in some towns especially "Isla Paradiso" (a town from Island Paradise expansion pack).

However most of bad and issue things can be fixed by mods.

Worth to buy? I don't know, but hope my details make you choose much more right decision to buy.

From what you can read on the store page, it looks like you can only keep dogs, cats and horses. Are there any other pets you can keep?

Pets expansion have Birds, Lizards, Rodents, Snakes, and Turtles to plays with but not have many interactions with them like cat, dog, and horses.
